Despite losing 0-1 to Brazil the other night, the feeling of disappointment was not there for Jorge Sampaoli, the Chile boss.

Sampaoli, in fact, praised his players to run a strong opposition so close.

According to Sampaoli, Brazil is a team which just knows how to win. In any sort of circumstances, they tend to find a way. So, in that regard, they are quite special and to get on top of them is a hell of a task. But, as far as his boys are concerned, they were not that far behind, but, because of the loss of focus, they fell short.

Stephen Keshi took charge of Burkina Faso

Landon Donovan Retires From USA National Football

Leading American forward Landon Donovan has reportedly retired from the USA national football team with the Ecuador match. The game witnessed his last international match.

The striker played on for forty minutes during the USA V Ecuador friendly at East Hartford & his decision to retire was received with a massive standing ovation from the gallery.

Scolari Hopes For Oscar Return

Brazil boss Luiz Felipe Scolari has stated that he is very much hoping that Chelsea midfielder Oscar will return to national team duty after missing the past few friendly matches and trainings sessions in order to be with his family. Oscar recently became the father of a baby girl, Julia. As a result, he has been unavailable with the national team squad. With the tournament set to start against Croatia on June 12, Brazil will be hoping to get back as soon as possible.

Boetang Expects Germany To Struggle

Former AC Milan midfielder Kevin Prince Boetang has stated that he expects Germany to struggle at the upcoming World Cup 2014 due to the lack of experience within the team. Germany manager Joachim Loew named a very young preliminary squad that was without the likes of Mario Gomez and many other established players. Instead, he has taken youngsters like Max Meyer and Julian Draxler, who are yet to prove themselves at the top level.
